As the January transfer window for women’s football has arrived, The Inner Sanctum will report on all the rumours and confirmed deals across all top women’s football competitions.

January 11

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Jelena Cankovic & Aimee Claypole- The two players could leave Chelsea in the WSL competition on either a loan or permanent deal during this month, per Standard Sport.

Deyna Castellanos- According to National World, the Manchester City player is close to signing with Bay FC in the NWSL competition.

LIGA F

Romina Nunez- The Argentinian forward is reportedly on the verge of signing with Real Betis as a replacement for Carmen Alvarez who has been sidelined with an ACL injury, per Cesar Luis Merlo.

NWSL

Casey Krueger (Confirmed)– The United States international has agreed to terms with Washington Spirit that will see her remain at the club until the end of 2026 on a three-year contract.

SERIE A

Lina Magull- As reported by Italian publication Firenzevila, Inter Milan is on the verge of recruiting two new players, with one of those individuals being Magull from Bayern Munich.

January 10

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Nathalie Bjorn (Confirmed)- After days of speculation regarding her future, Bjorn has decided to move from Everton to Chelsea until 2027. It is unknown what the transfer fee between the two clubs were.

Deyna Castellanos- It is understood by BBC Sport that Castellanos is gaining interest from clubs outside the WSL and could very well leave Manchester City before the transfer deadline.

Nicky Evrard (Confirmed)- The Belgian goalkeeper will return to Chelsea after a loan spell with rivals Brighton & Hove Albion in the WSL competition.

BUNDESLIGA

Remina Chiba (Confirmed)- Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed the re-signing of the Japanese international until at least the end of 2026.

NWSL

Kyra Carusa (Confirmed)- The international from Ireland has decided to extend her contract with San Diego Wave for the upcoming season, with an option for a further year.

Parker Goins (Confirmed)- The forward with a market value of £15K has extended her contract with Racing Louisville for the 2024 season.

January 9

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Amanda Nilden- As reported by JuventusNews24.com, the Swedish defender will “soon” be in London to sign with Tottenham on a £70,000 (plus add-ons) contract.

ALLSVENSKAN

Maria Brochmann (Confirmed)- The Norwegian forward has moved from SK Brann to Djurgårdens IF until the end of 2025.

DAMALLSVENSKAN

Zara Jönsson (Confirmed)- The young and talented midfielder has completed a move that will see her join Djurgården until 2025.

LIGA F

Kayla McKenna (Confirmed)- The 27-year-old forward from Villarreal CF has decided to remain with the Liga F club for the foreseeable future until 2025.

NWSL

Hillary Beall (Confirmed)- The Racing Louisville goalkeeper – currently on loan with Western United in the A-League – has signed with San Diego Wave for a 2025 second-round draft pick.

Lily Nabet (Confirmed)- Angel City has confirmed Lily Nabet’s re-signing on a contract extension until the end of 2025.

Isabell Obaze (Confirmed)- The Danish international has officially moved from FC Rosengard to Rose City in the NWSL on a contract until 2026. The contract includes an option to extend for a further year.

Bianca St-Georges (Confirmed)- The Canadian international has signed with NC Courage until 2025, but has an option to extend her contract for an extra season.

SERIE A

Sara Stokic- It is being reported by Luca Maninetti from SempreMilan that AC Milan is showing a high interest in the 18-year-old talent from Serbia.

TOPPSEIEN

Emma Peuhkurinen (Confirmed)- The Finnish midfielder has confirmed her future, deciding to sign with LSK Kvinner until 2025.

January 8

LIGA F

Sakina Karchaoui- Available for a free transfer in the summer, Soccerdonna reports that FC Barcelona is targeting the left-back from Paris Saint-Germain. PSG are also interested in extending her current deal.

DAMALLSVENSKAN

Maria Brochmann & Zara Jonsson- The two players are close to finalising deals with SK Brann and will enter from the Toppserien, as reported by Amanda Zaza. Jonasson is an Under-23s international for Sweden.

January 7

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Nathalie Bjorn- As per Ben Jacobs, a deal is set to be finalised this weekend between Chelsea and Everton, allowing her to sign with the Blues until the end of 2027. It is understood that the transfer will be worth “well over” £100k.

Kathrine Kühl– The Danish star from Arsenal is extremely ‘likely’ to go out on loan to another club during the transfer window, per arseblognews.

Noelle Maritz (Confirmed)- Aston Villa has confirmed the signing of the Swiss international from Arsenal until 2026.

Shae Yáñez (Confirmed)- The 26-year-old becomes the latest player to sign with Bristol City and enters the team from NWSL side San Diego Wave FC. Her contract details have not been disclosed by the club.

January 6

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Nathalie Bjorn- It is understood that Chelsea is one of the clubs involved in attaining the defender from Everton, per Diario AS. Real Madrid was interested, but they did not meet the financial demands set by Everton.

Katrina Gorry (Confirmed)- The speedy midfielder becomes the latest Matildas to join the WSL competition and has been signed by West Ham United – she joins from Vittsjo GIK in the Swedish competition.

Noelle Maritz- Blick has reported that the defender will exit Arsenal to move to Aston Villa.

Yuke Momiki (Confirmed)- Leicester City have confirmed the signing of the 27-year-old forward from Linkoping FC in the Damallsvenskan.

LIGA F

Lia Wälti- As reported by ata football, the defensive-minded midfielder has entered into talks with Real Madrid. It is understood that a summer transfer seems more likely as she recently signed a deal with Arsenal.

LIGUE 1 FEMININE

Magou Doucoure (Confirmed)- LOSC Lille have signed the right-back until the end of the season. However, she will have an option to extend her contract for the following season.

NWSL

Dana Foederer (Confirmed)- The Under-23 Dutch international has officially signed with the Utah Royals FC until the end of the 2025 season.

Megan Reid (Confirmed)- The centre-back will remain at Angel City FC until the end of 2025 after signing a contract extension with the club.

Shae Yanez (Confirmed)- It has been confirmed that the 26-year-old has joined San Diego Wave FC from Bristol City FC in England. At the current moment, the deal of the contract is yet to be disclosed by the club.

VR Eredivisie

Lieske Carleer (Confirmed)- The 22-year-old defender has agreed to terms and signed a contract with FC Twente until 2025.

January 5

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Mary Earps- The Telegraph reports that Earps remains open to staying with Manchester United despite strong interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Freya Gregory (Confirmed)- After a loan spell with Reading, Aston Villa has confirmed that she has returned to the club.

Mathilde Harviken- TV2 Sport has reported that the Norwegian international has attracted interest from several clubs in England and Italy. She is currently signed with Rosenborg BK.

Amanda Nilden- Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in the fullback, who could leave in the winter, per Juventus News 24. It is understood that Juventus is demanding a fee of £90k plus add-ons.

BUNDESLIGA

Sara Agrez (Confirmed)- The left-back/centre-back has confirmed that she will join FC Koln from rivals VfL Wolfsburg.

Julia Jorde (Confirmed)- The 19-year-old midfielder will join Bayern Leverkusen until at least the 2026 season. She is an Under-23 international for the Norwegian national team.

DAMALLSVENSKAN

Beatrice Persson (Confirmed)- The youngster joins Malmo FF from Brondby IF Women in the same league.

LIGA F

Aitana Bonmati & Kiera Walsh- Barcelona are looking to tie down and extend the contracts of the duo before December this year – when they are both free agents – per Maria Tikas at Diario SPORT.

Alba Redondo- As reported by Diario AS, the 27-year-old is gaining interest from several clubs in England, Italy, Mexico, Spain and the United States – Real Madrid has emerged as the favourite. However, she is also keen on extending her contract with Levante UD.

Virginia Torrecilla (Confirmed)- The centre-midfielder has immediately announced her retirement from all forms of football.

LIGUE 1 FEMININE

Mary Earps- Paris Saint-Germain remain in the pole position to sign the England Lionesses superstar goalkeeper from Manchester United, per Standard Sport. The interest in Arsenal has reportedly cooled down.

NWSL

Yuuka Kurosaki (Confirmed)- The 26-year-old has joined Racing Louisville from KuPS on a contract until the end of 2025 with a player option for an extra season in the NWSL.

Rose Lavelle & Emily Sonnett (Confirmed)- After weeks of rumours, the duo finally put pen to paper and signed with NJ/NY Gotham FC until 2026.

Serie A

Jennifer Echegini (Confirmed)- Despite Juventus not disclosing the contract details, the Nigerian international is joining the Italian superpower following a stint with Florida State Seminoles and, previously, Mississippi State Bulldogs.

January 4

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Charlotte Grant (Confirmed)- Tottenham Hotspur have finally confirmed the rumours that the Matildas star will be joining them in the transfer window and becomes the latest Australian in the WSL competition.

Shelina Zadorsky (Confirmed)- After being linked to West Ham United, her arrival to the club has been confirmed. Here, she will reunite with former manager Rehanne Skinner via a loan deal – she has six months left on her contract with Tottenham.

LIGA F

Nathalie Bjorn- After being linked with Real Madrid, Sandra Riquelme from DAZN has reported that Everton has gotten in the way of the Swedish international leaving the club ‘again and again’. It is understood that Real Madrid’s economic valuation does not match the Toffees.

Mary Earps- It is understood that Real Madrid is the latest club that is reportedly showing interest in the Manchester United goalkeeper, per Ezequiel Marin at Podium Trade.

LIGA MX FEMINIL

Merel van Dongen (Confirmed)- The Dutch international centre-back has left Atletico Madrid in the Liga F league to line up with Rayadas.

NWSL

Temwa Chawinga (Confirmed)- The world’s (club and country) leading goalscorer for 2023 has signed a contract that will see her join KC Current for the upcoming season.

Serie A

Madelen Janogy (Confirmed)- The 28-year-old forward has confirmed her future, signing with ACF Fiorentina until the end of the 2026 season.

Elsa Pelgander (Confirmed)- After being in talks with Juventus over the past two months, the club has confirmed the arrival of the midfielder from KIF Orebro in the Damallsvenskan.

Damallsvenskan

Matilda Nilden (Confirmed)- BK Hacken have bolstered their attacking stock by signing the 19-year-old until the end of the 2026 season.

January 3

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Marta Cox- After finishing up with Pachuca in the Liga MX Feminil the midfielder has received offers from West Ham United and various clubs in the NWSL competition, per Deportes RPC.

Mary Earps- After receiving interest from several European clubs, Daily Mail understands that Paris Saint-Germain are strongly interested (and considered favourites), while Arsenal will not make another bid for the Manchester United goalkeeper during this transfer window. She will not ink a new deal with Manchester United.

Matilda Vinberg (Confirmed)- The Swedish winger has confirmed her new home after a three-year stint with Hammarby IF in the Damallsvensakan, joining WSL club Tottenham Hotspur.

LIGA F

Lovisa Gustafsson (Confirmed)- The 29-year-old Swedish attacker has decided to take her talents to Liga F, joining Sporting Club Huelva from IFK Norrkoping. Despite the confirmation, it is unknown how long the contract is.

NWSL

Tierna Davidson (Confirmed)- After spending five years with the Chicago Red Stars, the defender has agreed to sign with NJ/NY Gotham FC until the end of 2026. Gotham are the current NWSL champions.

Evelina Duljan (Confirmed)- The club have announced the signing of the Swedish international through to the end of next season. The right-back/midfielder arrives from Juventus in the Serie A.

Rose Lavelle & Emily Sonnett- The Athletic reports that NJ/NY Gotham FC are set for even more signings with deals for the dup ‘inching closer’ to completion. It is understood that an announcement will potentially happen later this week.

Agnes Nyberg (Confirmed)- The Utah Royals FC have confirmed the arrival of the 23-year-old from Sweden. She will be apart of the team’s squad for the next two seasons.

DAMALLSVENSKAN

Stina Lennartsson (Confirmed)- After losing several players during the transfer window, Hammarby IF have poaches the Swedish international from rival club Linkoping FC on a two-year contract.

January 2

WOMEN’S SUPER LEAGUE

Katie Bradley- As reported by BBC Sport, Bristol City is showing interest in the English midfielder and have been in talks with her about moving away from UCF Knights in Florida.

Aimee Claypole- The Chelsea youngster is considering a loan move to another club (currently unknown) this month after securing her first professional contract with the WSL club in November, per BBC Sport.

Eleanor Dale- Currently playing in the United States with the Nebraska Huskers, three WSL clubs are interested in her services. BBC Sport understands these clubs are Aston Villa, Manchester United and West Ham United.

Mary Earps- Two European clubs have expressed interest in the Manchester United goalkeeper, with Paris St-Germain also interested, per BBC Sport. Previously, Arsenal had offered a world record fee for Earps in the summer.

Emily Fox- Arsenal is set to be in advanced talks with the United States defender, per Tim Stillman from Arseblog. However, it’s believed other WSL clubs have also expressed an interest in Fox.

Sanni Franssi- Despite still having six months left on her contract with Real Sociedad in the Liga F, Franssi is gaining traction from a host of WSL clubs, according to BBC Sport. Brighton & Hove Albion are believed to have enquired about the status of the Finnish forward.

Katrina Gorry- BBC Sport reports that the flashy Matildas midfielder could become the latest Australian to join the competition. She and West Ham are in talks and are close to agreeing on a deal. This comes after she departed Vittsjo in the GIK in the Swedish competition.

Charlotte Grant- Just like Gorry, Grant has also left Vittsjo GIK and is in line to join Tottenham after receiving interest from several clubs in the WSL competition, per BBC Sport.

Lauren Hemp & Julie Blakstad- As reported by BBC Sport, the Manchester City duo are in talks with the club for a contract extension. Hemp only has six more months remaining on her current contract, while Blakstad is close to agreeing on a potential new deal.

Sam Kerr- It is being reported by BBC Sport that Matildas superstar Sam Kerr and Chelsea are understood to be in discussions for a new contract.

Melvine Malard- It is understood that Manchester United are hoping to make Malard’s move a permanent one as she is currently with the club via a loan from Lyon in the Division 1 Feminine, per BBC Sport.

Poppy Pritchard- The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea and Manchester United are both showing an interest in the Under-19s England international. These reports were furthered by BBC Sport, who revealed that Tottenham and at least five other clubs are also in the race.

Giovana Queiroz- The winger is seeking a move away from Arsenal in what will likely be a loan move. BBC Sport reports that Tottenham are a potential option.

Katie Robinson- Brighton Hove & Albion are reportedly keen to tie down the 21-year-old Lionesses attacker to a new contract as her current deal is set to expire soon, per BBC Sport.

Ellie Roebuck- Having fallen down the pecking order at Manchester City, the 24-year-old is desperate to get game time under her belt. As reported by BBC Sport, she is seeking a move this month – with her contract expiring in June – and Manchester United are just one of the clubs linked with Roebuck.

Miri Taylor- According to BBC Sport, the 23-year-old is assessing her options as she only has six months remaining on her contract. The Liverpool midfielder is believed to be open to securing a loan move to gain more playing time.

Nathalie Bjorn- The 26-year-old Everton defender is reportedly back on the radar of Real Madrid, with the club considering to make another offer this month, per BBC Sport. The club and Bjorn were linked during the summer transfer window.

Lucy Bronze- The English right-back is assessing her options during the transfer window, as she will be out of contract with Barcelona in the Summer, per BBC Sport.

LIGA MX FEMINIL

Jenni Hermoso (CONFIRMED)- The 2023 Women’s World Cup winner has confirmed her new club, linking up with Tigres Feminil after a two-year stint with rivals Pachuca Feminil.

Merel van Dongen- The Dutch international centre-back is in the closing stages of leaving Atletico Madrid in the Liga F league to line up with Rayadas, per Diego Armando Medina and Sandra Riquelme.

NWSL

Crystal Dunn (Confirmed)- NJ/NY Gotham FC have confirmed they have signed Dunn after she had a stint with the Portland Thorns FC (2020-23). The agreement sees her ink a deal through to the 2026 season.

Denise O’Sullivan- It is understood that several WSL and European clubs have enquired about the North Caroline Courage midfielder, per BBC Sport.

Ify Onumonu (Confirmed)- The Nigerian international is confirmed to have joined Utah Royals FC via a trade with NJ/NY Gotham FC. The New York-based side will receive $40,000 in allocation money.

Damallsvenskan

Anna Jøsendal (Confirmed)– The Norweigan international and Player of the Year, has officially signed a contract with Hammarby IF. She will join the club from Rosenborg and will be with the team until the summer of 2026.
