In what promises to be a historic week in Australian boxing, eyes first turn to Brisbane on March 27 where Taylah Robertson (9-1, 2 KOs) will meet Gloria Gallardo (14-2-2, 6 KOs) for the vacant IBO world super flyweight title.

A superb prospect, the 25 year old Robertson is aiming to start her ascension through the ranks of each of the major sanctioning bodies.

Conversely, Mexico’s Gallardo has her sights set on becoming a two time IBO champion, having first captured the belt in 2019.

The bout will headline the inaugural Premier Boxing Series card and will air live on 7plus.

Earlier in the card, a highly anticipated grudge match will be settled when Ben Horn (6-6, 1 KO) meets Lewis Chadwick (4-1, 1 KO).

For months the pair have exchanged heated words, resulting in a buzz of excitement surrounding the bout.

With IBO Oceania-Orient title honours on the line, viewers can expect to see fireworks.

Taking part in an international feature bout on the card will be surging lightweight prospect Jalen Tait (14-0, 8 KOs).

Having won a number of ANBF affiliated titles, the Queenslander is now focused on besting opponents from foreign shores.

Set to face Ecuador’s Alexander Espinoza, Tait believes he is ready to step into the spotlight and show the nation he is one of it’s most talented youngsters.
