The Melbourne Vixens announced Hannah Mundy will come into their squad of 10 for round one against the West Coast Fever.
The spot was opened up after Liz Watson was ruled out of the 2021 season due to a foot injury.
Mundy is a product of the Victorian Pathway, the 19-year-old is apart of the Vixens squad after signing on as a training partner.
Mundy has represented Victoria at both U17 and U19 level in the national championships and was apart of a premiership winning side at VNL level for Boroondara Express at U19 Level.

She was also apart of the 2019 premiership squad for the Victorian Fury at VNL level.
Head coach Simone McKinnis welcomed Hannah’s elevation to the team for the first round of Suncorp Super Netball, after impressing coaches across the pre-season.
“I’m really happy for Hannah to be taking the step up this week after her hard work over the last few months in building rapport and connections with Kate (Moloney) and our goalers,” she said.
“We have developing talent through our midcourt and wanted to promote from within to continue to build that depth and allow us to continue to work with our extended squad.
“At this stage, Hannah is a temporary replacement player, and we will continue to work on the combinations in our squad that will help us have the strongest start to the season.”
The Melbourne Vixens title defence starts on Saturday, in a grand final rematch against the West Coast Fever at John Cain Arena.
