Drop Punters NFL Fantasy Podcast

Introducing the Drop Punters NFL Fantasy Podcast, the newest part of The Inner Sanctum Podcast Network.

We introduce the podcast, and talk through the best way to approach your fantasy draft, and who to pick and who to stay away from.

Welcome to this week’s episode of the Drop Punters NFL Fantasy Podcast.

The League

Our league will be a half-PPR (points per reception) league, with 16 players on the roster. We have:

  • 1 Quarterback (QB)
  • 2 Running Backs (RB)
  • 2 Wide Receivers (WR)
  • 1 Tight End (TE)
  • 1 Flex (FLEX)
  • 1 Defense / Special Teams (D/ST)
  • 1 Kicker (K)

In addition, we have seven players on the bench and 1 Injured Reserve (IR) slot.

Draft Strategy

Do you take top-tier RBs early, and make sure you have top talent before the pool thins out? Do you stack WRs, and set yourself up for the whole season in the early rounds? Do you take a difference-making QB early, just to have the advantage at that position?

Busts and Sleepers

Who is being drafted too high? Is it Joe Mixon (CIN – RB) behind his shaky offensive line or Clyde Edwards-Helaire (KC – RB) who might not get enough of the ball?

Who is being drafted too low? Is it Terry McLaurin (WFT – WR) who was a star last season or is it Trey Sermon (SF – RB) who will come into his own later in the year?

Which category does Devin Singletary (BUF – RB) fit into?

Quarterback Tiers

Are Patrick Mahomes (KC – QB) and Josh Allen (BUF – QB) the stars at the position? Are Dak Prescott (DAL – QB) or Aaron Rodgers (GB – QB) worth reaching for?

Who is there in the middle rounds with Russell Wilson (SEA – QB) and Matthew Stafford (LAR – QB)?

Is Jalen Hurts (PHI – QB) worth a late flier?

How do we see Ben Roethlisberger (PIT – QB)?

All these questions and more on the debut episode of the Drop Punters NFL Podcast, the latest addition to The Inner Sanctum Podcast Network.
