Star Supercar drivers David Reynolds and Michael Caruso have partnered with Kayo to adapt their podcast ‘Below the Bonnet’ into an original show.

Evolving the Program

Star Supercar drivers David Reynolds and Michael Caruso have partnered with Kayo to adapt their podcast ‘Below the Bonnet’ into an original show.

It will be available on Kayo freebies. As the name suggests it is a service provided by Kayo to provide free shows and content to viewers.

First released in 2019, ‘Below the Bonnet’ is a free-flowing informative look at all things Supercars and the wider world of Motorsports. Reynolds and Caruso describe the show as “entertaining” and “easy-going”. As well as providing them with a platform to delve more deeply into Motor Racing issues and stories.

“Kayo has seen the value in what we are doing”, were the sentiments of Reynolds and Caruso as they look forward to an incredibly exciting year for their evolving show.

The shows new iteration on Kayo freebies will include 15 shows in 2021. All released the Tuesday after each Supercars round. It will involve Reynolds and Caruso’s recap of each round and what is making local and worldwide sporting news.

What to Expect

Each episode will also feature a special guest. This includes fellow Supercar drivers, team owners, pop culture stars and even Athletes from the outside of Motor Racing.

In its debut week this will be Olympic/Commonwealth games medallist John Steffenson.

Steffenson has experience in motorsport himself having recently driven in racing series such as the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup. There’s now doubt this recent transition will be a big talking point in episode one.

Another talking point will be the most recent supercars round at Sandown. This included Reynolds racing in his 350th Supercars Race.

He was able to cap off the occasion by claiming his first podium after moving to Kelly Grove Racing this year. A result that will undoubtedly lift the spirits of Reynolds and his new team as they strive towards making regular appearances on the podium throughout the year.

Reynolds and Kelly Grove will hope to carry this momentum into the next Supercars round at Symmonds Plains in Tasmania on April 10 and 11.
