After having our bye in Round 14, the SuperCoach Sanctum PODcast team are back with the best SuperCoach captain choices for Round 15. With nine games scheduled again, there are plenty of options to bring in the huge points.

Clayton Oliver – $674,700

Clayton Oliver is now the most expensive player in SuperCoach and with good reason. He is second for total points (behind Lachie Neale), has the second-highest average of 127.1 (again behind Neale), and has the highest five-round average (133).

A 94 last year against the Lions is his only real blemish against the Brisbane side, with scores before that of 177, 103, and 146. A night game and a hotly contested game suits Oliver, and playing on a Thursday night means he is an obvious VC choice.

If your opponent has put the VC on Neale, back in Oliver to outscore him and start on the front foot in your H2H leagues.

Captain Confidence Rating: 8/10

Callum Mills – $623,200

With the second-highest five-round average in the competition, Callum Mills is in great form.

Back home at the SCG, Mills is sure to enjoy the top-eight duel against the Saints. His scores at home this year give you confidence he can score well again this round – 147, 130, 139, 60, 167, and 117.

A Saturday night encounter means he will likely have to be your captain choice, but if your VC (such as Oliver, Macrae or Neale) fails, Mills looks the best of the captaincy options.

Captaincy Confidence Rating: 8/10

Rory Laird – $623,800

Rory Laird is having another great consistent SuperCoach year. His last 10 scores have been 100+ and his average score is over 121.

Laird’s opponent this week is North Melbourne, which means in all likelihood there is plenty of opportunity for centre clearances and to even kick a goal or two. He has not scored lower than 90 against them in the last six years and last year scored 105 and 149.

The Sunday 1.10 pm timeslot allows for you to take a bit of a risk with your captain on Sunday if you need to gain valuable points in H2H contests.

Jack Macrae – $591,900

Jack Macrae’s last sub-100 score against the Hawks was six years ago.

He is in form (155 last week), loves playing at Marvel, and is playing Friday night, making him the perfect VC option, or even captain option if you go with Oliver or Neale on Thursday night.

He is the Mr Consistent in SuperCoach, with the C in consistent really standing for Captain. Get on.

Unique Captain Choice – Brad Crouch – $563,200

Hear us out before you laugh…

Crouch is in just four per cent of sides – TICK. His five-round average is over 116 – TICK. His average score at the SCG is 122.5 – TICK.

With the Saints keen to bounce back following a disappointing loss last week, expect Crouch to hit the contest hard and rack up a score over 130.

It would take some guts to put the C on Crouch, but if you like to be different, then this is for you!
