After two seasons at the Melbourne Vixens, Olivia Lewis has advised the team that she will not return for the 2024 season.

A West Australian product, Olivia Lewis played 24 games in the navy dress over the last two seasons after travelling east from the West Coast Fever.

Lewis debuted with the West Coast Fever on round 1 in 2019 against the Adelaide Thunderbirds. The defender was utilised as an impact player, but quickly rose to a starting seven position.

She played her national league 50th game in round 14 this year against GIANTS Netball.

Her vertical jump was the hallmark of her game, being able to match up against some of the tallest shooters.

Vixens General Manager Megan Simpson thanked Lewis for her contribution to the club over the last two seasons.

“It was a significant decision for Liv to move across the country to join us two years ago and we’re proud of how much she has contributed to our group in her time with us,” Simpson said.

“While we know our fans will be disappointed not to see Liv in navy next season, we wish her the best as she takes on a new opportunity.”

Lewis is forever grateful for the Vixens and fans across Victoria who embraced her when she joined the club.

“I’ll always cherish my time at the Vixens, and am so grateful that I was able to be a small part of such an amazing club,” Lewis said.

“I wish the girls and the club nothing but the best in 2024 and beyond.”
