Australian boxing fans are in for a treat tonight, as the undefeated WBO Global Light Middleweight Champion Tim Tszyu takes on his biggest assignment yet against Takeshi Inoue.

Tszyu (19-0) comes into the fight with five consecutive finishes after his impressive win over Steve Spark, and looks to take the next step into the World Title picture.

Earlier this year Tszyu’s team had talks fall through with former WBC Light Middleweight Champion Tony Harrison, but the Aussie has decided to stay active.

Standing in his way is Takeshi Inoue, Ranked sixth by the WBO, Inoue is said to be Tszyu’s toughest challenge to date.

As an added bonus, the WBO announced that the fight will also be for the WBO Asia Pacific Light Middleweight Titles.

Will Tim Tszyu prevail again or will Inoue shock the boxing world.

11:46 PM: As expected Tim Tszyu aces the toughest test of his career with a major statement win over a very tough Takeshi Inoue. The win takes Tszyu one step closer to a world title shot against either Brian Castaño or Jermell Charlo, both are intriguing matchups for the Aussie.

11:39 PM: Tszyu told Main Event that he wants to fight for a world title in February.

11:35 PM: Tszyu praised his Japanese opponent on his durablity, calling him a “brick wall”.

11:30 PM: Although he felt that he should have finished his opponent, Tszyu stated that it was good for him to go twelve rounds before “going on to the big time”.

Tszyu also called out World Champions Brian Castaño and Jermell Charlo by telling them to “finish their honeymoons and get back in the gym”.

Tszyu Dominated the fight from start to finish, mixed up his shots and suffocated Inoue with his pressure. Inoue had some in the later rounds but it ultimately wasn’t enough.

11:22 PM: Knockdown from Tszyu, but it looked to be a slip.

11:19 PM: Round 11 Ends

An absolutely dominating display from Tszyu, Inoue needs to make something happen in this final round.

Inoue has had his moments but Tim Tszyu is still in firm control of this fight.

Inoue is starting to move forward, but he really needs to do something special in the later rounds.

This is Inoue’s best round as he is starting to let his hands go, but it is still not enough to win it.

Same story, Tszyu’s pressure is exhausting Inoue. Tim goes to the eighth round for the first time since his fight with Dwight Ritchie.

10:58 PM: Round 6 Ends

Tszyu continues to press Inoue as he landed a lot more shots to the body. Inoue appears to be wearing down.

10:53 PM: Round 5 Ends

Big round for Tszyu, starting to catch Inoue more flush. The uppercuts have been the money shot for The Soul Taker.

10:49 PM: Round 4 Ends

Tszyu is landing a lot more body shots and is pacing himself well, Inoue has offered nothing on the back foot so far.

10:46 PM: Round 3 Ends

Tszyu looks to be turning it up, the right crosses are starting to get through and he continues to use his uppercut. Inoue appears to have developed some swelling.

Tszyu looks the more composed of the two, setting his shots up and using the lead uppercut to good effect.

Easy Round for Tszyu, who is the more active fighter in terms of his output. The pressing is also causing problems for Inoue who has started very cautiously.

The late knockdown scored by Ryan should bag him the win, throughout the fight he won most of the exchanges and used his jab well, Nwachukwu had his moments but wasn’t active enough in terms of his punch output.

Nwachukwu coming out very aggressive, but Ryan is still getting the better of the exchanges.

The doctor takes a look a cut on Nwachukwu’s eye and decides that he is fine to continue, looks like it was caused by a jab from Ryan.

Ryan is still the more precise of the two, although this is one of Nwachukwu’s better rounds in terms of his overall output.

Ryan stunned Nwachukwu midway into the round, Nath is pressing forward but he is not doing enough in terms of his output.

Nwachukwu starting to press forward a lot more.

Another round in the books for Hogan, Browne tried to brawl but can’t get anything off. Browne most likely needs a knockout to win.

Tommy is trying to get the jab to go, but Hogan is too slick at the moment.

Another strong round for Hogan, who stunned Browne early and did lots of work on the inside.

8:48 PM: Midway into the third round, Hogan has been extremely active in the clinch.

A better round from Tommy, but he is still finding it difficult to find his shots. Hogan’s corner ordering him to keep this pace.

Inoue stated that he thought that his manager thought that Tszyu’s gloves were thin, he has chosen the Winning Boxing Gloves for tonight.

A very entertaining fight between two of the best Light Middleweights the country has to offer. Camilleri had lots of success with his elusive movement and overhand right. Mazoudier had lots of great moments with his timing and aggression later on, this fight could go either way.

8:12 PM: Round 7 Ends

Close round, Mazoudier is beginning to telegraph Camilleri’s ducking, going to be a big final round.

8:08 PM: Round 6 Ends

Mazoudier finishes strong with a big right hand and is also beginning to time Camilleri’s overhand right.

8:05 PM: INOUE CAMP IS ASSESSING THE SECOND PAIR OF GLOVES

Camilleri was very accurate in the round, found a home for the overhand right at will.

Lual started out very aggressive, but Girdham seemed to get the better of the late exchanges. Tough round to score.

Big round for Girdham after the knockdown, Lual was doing a great job of setting traps with feints to the body, became more aggressive after being dropped.

6:55 PM: The Fight ends

Hussian did a really good job of using the jab to keep Sagurit at range, when the pressing from Sagurit came he stayed really composed.

6:54 PM: Sagurit looks to be tiring.

6:52 PM: Sagurit starts off very aggressive.

6:51 PM: Round 3 ends,

Despite a low blow to end the round, Sagurit is having some success getting on the inside, starting to get into his groove.

6:49 PM: Sagurit catches Hussian with a big right hand, also really starting to mix to the body

Sagurit had a lot more success getting on the inside, disrupting Hussain’s timing.

Hussain started off strong by using his jab and controlling the range of the fight, but Sagurit landed three overhand rights in the final minute. Shaping up to be a very fascinating fight.
