It was raining goals at Port Adelaide's internal trial, with many of the club's young guns strutting their stuff.

If Port Adelaide’s internal trial is anything to go by, Connor Rozee is set for another terrific season.

The former first round pick, coming in his third AFL season, booted six majors while spending a fair chunk of the game in the midfield – particularly the first half.

Among the other two from the famous drafted trio, Zak Butters and Xavier Durusma also had significant midfield time, with both finding plenty of the ball.

In defence, new recruit Aliir Aliir looked right at home in the Port defence, with strong contests against Todd Marshall and solid intercept marks.

Miles Bergman performed well off of half-back with plenty run and carry, while Lachie Jones took a while to get into the game before contesting well, including a solid spoilt late.

Tom Jonas, Darcy Byrne-Jones, Dan Houston and Tom Clurey all looked in fine form rounding out the defence as they lad little to do towards the end of the match.

Up forward it was a clinic, with young key forwards Mitch Georgiades and Todd Marshall snagging three and two goals respectively.

Charlie Dixon also slotted three majors late in the game.

The forward pressure produced by Steven Motlop and Orazio Fantasia saw them nab two each, while there were sole goals for Pete Ladhams, Ollie Wines, Ollie Lord, Trent Burgoyne, Travis Boak, Karl Amon, Xavier Duursma and Magpies-listed Ben Edwards.

Karl Amon was consistent out on the wings, while Kane Farrell had nice moments, as did Sam Powell-Pepper.

Players missing through injury were Jackson Mead and Trent McKenzie, while Tyson Goldsack was also absent.

More to come.
