A familiar face made his return to WWE in Chicago at Survivor Series: WarGames.

After leaving WWE in 2014, CM Punk made his long-awaited return, after being let go from AEW earlier this year.

Retiring after his departure in 2014, Punk would make his long-awaited return to professional wrestling, signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2021.

Punk would go on to win the AEW World Championship, but would be suspended in 2022 following a backstage incident, and used the time off to heal an injury.

More Wrestling News:

After returning in June of 2023, Punk would be released from AEW on September 2, following an alleged backstage incident with Jack Perry and AEW owner Tony Khan, the former of whom is still suspended.

Punk’s return opens a whole range of possibilities for exciting matches and storylines in WWE, and will hopefully give wrestling fans a just conclusion to the career of the “Best In The World.”
