The 2022 season will mark Bueta’s eighth season at the Firebirds after joining the club in 2015 in a move from the New South Wales Swifts.
Bueta returned to the Firebirds in 2021 after going on maternity leave for her son Bobby. She proved once again to be a valuable assets to the side’s front line.
In 2021 she had 243 goals, shooting at an 80 per cent accuracy. While it took her a few weeks to get back to her best, towards the end of the season fans saw her better than ever and she’ll be looking to bring that form into 2022.
The signing of Bueta means that the Firebirds shooting circle is complete for 2022, joining elevated train-on player Mia Stower and long time partner in crime in Romelda Aiken-George.

Queensland Firebirds coach Megan Anderson said she was stoked to have Bueta re-signed.
“Grets is an amazing athlete who defied odds to get back on the court in 2021,” she said.
“She is such a ball of energy and always plays with a smile on her face.”
Anderson also believes that Bueta would set the standard for her teammates to preform at their best.
“Her dominance on court brings the focus away from her teammates and she loves the challenge of beating whatever teams put out against her.
“I really think the best is still yet to come with Grets and I’m excited to see where she can take her game in 2022.”
Bueta joins Aiken-George, Stower, Ruby Bakewell-Doran, Gabi Simpson, Kim Jenner, Lara Dunkley and Kim Ravaillion in purple for the 2022 season.
