Despite being the final name called in the 2023 WWE Draft, Grayson Waller will make sure that he is not forgotten and says he has the largest chip to exist on his shoulder.
The Australian was called up from NXT in a move that was predicted by many to Friday Night Smackdown, further strengthening the blue brand’s midcard.
Waller has recently competed for the NXT Championship and although he was unsuccessful in capturing the title, his talent and charisma can not be denied.
When drafted on this week’s edition of Raw Talk, he was emphatic in saying that he was born to do this and was unsurprised to see his name selected.
“You know, I’d love to come on here and say I can’t believe it”, Waller said in an interview.
“I would love to tell you that I’ve thought about this moment since I was a little kid and I never thought I’d be here.
“But the truth is, I’m not surprised. I was born to do this.
“What I am surprised by is the fact that it took this long for Raw or SmackDown to draft me.”
Waller then proceeded to send a message to the Smackdown locker room, labelling himself a, “very dangerous man”, before celebrating in style like any Australian would.
Sinking down a shoey.
More Wrestling News:
There is no doubt that Waller will become a major player on Smackdown if given the opportunity and already knows how to hang with the best, previously competing against the likes of Johnny Gargano and AJ Styles in NXT.
He was also embroiled in multiple heated disputes with WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels that led to a match against Gargano at NXT Stand and Deliver.
Waller has proven his heel credentials, wanting to be his own person and having no desire to associate with anyone else.
Fellow Australian and former NXT Women’s Champion, Indi Hartwell was also selected by Monday Night Raw in the WWE Draft. She could become a vital cog in their women’s division or rekindle her relationship with Dexter Lumis, who stayed on the red brand.
Current Smackdown Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley and Bronson Reed were both drafted to Raw with Australian talent the most potent it has ever been in WWE.
