LIVE BLOG: Unified Lightweight Champion George Kambosos Jr fights WBC Champion Devin Haney to finally unify the Lightweight division (Photo: MAIN EVENT/Twitter)

Marvel Stadium will host one of the most anticipated fights of 2022 when Australia’s Unified Lightweight Champion George Kambosos Jr (20-0, 10 KO) faces WBC Champion Devin Haney (27-0, 15 KO) to crown the Undisputed Lightweight Champion.

In November of 2021, Kambosos shocked the world when he dethroned Teofimo Lopez (16-1, 12 KO) to become the unified champion in the 135-pound division.

In the final chapter to become Undisputed, he aims to take the final piece of the puzzle when he takes on fellow undefeated champion Devin Haney.

For his fifth defense of his WBC Title, Haney aims to spoil the Aussie’s party as he seeks to defeat Kambosos in his own backyard.

The winner of this fight will be the first Undisputed Lightweight Champion of the four-belt era and the first Undisputed Champion at Lightweight since the late great Pernell Whitaker (40-4-1-1 NC, 17 KO).

The card also features Aussie standouts like Jason Moloney and Lucas Browne along with many highly touted prospects.

Sit back fight fans for another great day of fights.
