After starring throughout the 2023 SSN season, premiership-winning defender Latanya Wilson will continue her tenure at the Adelaide Thunderbirds until the end of 2026.
Being able to play across all three defensive positions, Wilson has been a find for the Thunderbirds with her agility, vertical leap and versatility ensuring she is one of the first picked each week.
She has managed to combine with fellow Jamaica Sunshine Girls teammate Shamera Sterling for one of the best defensive pairings in the league.
Individually, Wilson finished fourth for intercepts (30) and deflections (70) across the league. She was also named in the SSN’s Team of the Round four times.
To finish the season off on a high, Wilson was named the Players’ Player at the Adelaide Thunderbirds awards night.
