With the Constellation Cup levelled at one-apiece, Australia will be searching for a win in its all-important game three clash with New Zealand.

The Diamonds responded in impressive fashion in game two, leading from the get-go and holding on to record a 45-36 victory.

What to expect

After recording her first test match win on Wednesday, Stacey Marinkovich has stuck with the winning formula, naming an unchanged side for the third of a four game series.

Liz Watson will again lead from the front, being named captain after her brilliant performance in game two.

Watson and Kate Moloney were dynamic through the midcourt and will be necessary to provide the swift attacking counters that New Zealand struggled to contain.

Goal shooter Cara Koenen was the player of the match in game two with 29 goals; her attacking partnership with Kiera Austin proved fruitful and will be relied upon again to convert the opportunities the midcourt is providing.

Containing the momentum New Zealand built in the second half of game two will be a key for Australia, with Silver Ferns goal attack Bailey Mes proving a thorn in the Diamonds’ side when she came onto the court.

Both the Diamonds and Silver Ferns will be desperate for a win in game three to ensure they take the lead into the fourth and final test match on Sunday.
