Former Collingwood premiership star Dane Swan will play for Waratah Football Club in the upcoming 2021-22 NTFL season.

Former Brownlow Medallist Dane Swan has signed with Waratah Football Club for the upcoming 2021-22 Northern Territory Football League season.

The three-time Copeland Trophy winner needs no introduction, following an illustrious career which spanned 258 games and included five All-Australian nominations and the famous 2010 premiership for Collingwood.

The signing coup follows news that former Blues and Crows superstar Eddie Betts is likely to pull on the boots for the Palmerston Magpies.

“Having someone of Swanny’s calibre joining us, for even one game, brings unbelievable experience that all senior and junior teams can learn from,” Waratah coach Ryan Ayres said.

“Not only for our club, but for the competition itself to have a Brownlow medallist playing in our league.
