Carlton has named a three-man panel to conduct its commissioned external review of the football department

Carlton has named a strong three person panel to conduct its external review.

After a slow start to the year which has seen the club fall out of finals contention, the club confirmed on Tuesday that they, Led by incoming president Luke Sayers, would be conducting an entire review of the entire football department.

The process is said to conduct a holistic and all encompassing review of all aspects of the football department.

In a letter to members on Friday, President Mark LoGiudice revealed the panelist chosen to be Graham Lowe, former Collingwood, and North Melbourne football boss Geoff Walsh and former Fremantle captain and champion Matthew Pavlich.

“In what is an important process, the experienced panel members will be afforded the time required to conduct the extensive review and as such there will not be an ongoing commentary of the review. The panel will provide the necessary recommendations to the Board, to take the football department forward.” LoGiudice said in a message to members.

“We understand our members and supporters expect more from an on-field performance perspective. As a club, we are fully aware that we exist to win games of football and ultimately win premierships.”

The trio when completed, will then deliver its findings and recommendations in a report to the Carlton board.
