Former NBA journeyman Isaiah Thomas is open to the possibility of playing in the National Basketball League.

The 35-year-old says although the NBA remains the dream, he is willing to listen to offers should they present themself.

“I’m available,” he said.

“I love playing the game of basketball and I want to continue my career. I’m just weighing the options up on what makes sense for me moving forward, but I’m not turning down no offers out here.

“The NBL is something that’s popular and people talk about, especially in the states. Hoopers respect real hoopers, and they’ve got some really good basketball players out here.”

After being selected with the final pick in the 2011 NBA draft, Thomas enjoyed an 11-year career in the premier competition.

At the peak of his powers, Thomas led the Boston Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2017. Averaging 28.9 points per game, the point guard placed fifth in the NBA Most Valuable Player voting.

Injury would derail his career in the American league however, playing for seven different clubs in his final five seasons.

He has not played since being waived by the Charlotte Hornets in 2022.
