The Inner Sanctum has put together a team of the week comprised of the best performing players in Round 6 of the 2022 AFLW season.

Defenders are rewarded for their defensive play, midfielders receive accolades for their dominance, while forwards receive a shout-out for hitting the scoreboard and applying pressure.

This was the first round where we had all teams playing without any rescheduling or catch-up games. You can read last week’s team here.

Sarah Allan was the anchor of Adelaide’s defence yet again, she was instrumental in Adelaide’s comeback with her 5 marks.

Gabby O’Sullivan continued her reliable year with another strong performance of 10 disposals, 6 marks, and 6 tackles.

Eleanor Brown continued her trend of great performances, with 6 marks she was vital to the Bulldogs overcoming the Crows.

Emma Swanson did all she could to keep the Collingwood forwards at bay in the Eagles’ loss with 19 disposals and 3 marks.

Bianca Jakobsson was strong across half-back for the Saints with 19 disposals.

Jasmine Garner makes an appearance 2 weeks in a row, with another strong game where she had 26 disposals, 6 marks, and 5 tackles.

Ellie Blackburn had her best performance of the year running rings around the Crows, with 23 disposals and 5 clearances.

Alison Drennan’s 30 disposals were key to the Suns holding off the lively Cats.

Mimi Hill backed up her impressive season debut from last week, to be a shining light for the struggling Blues.

Nina Morrison had 11 tackles in her attempt to slow down the attack of the Suns.

For consistency, we can’t leave Ash Riddell out after another 30 disposal performance.

Katie Brennan was as reliable as ever for the Tigers, taking 10 marks for the day and kicking a goal.

Chloe Scheer was the standout in the Cats forward line with 2 goals and 11 disposals.

Bonnie Toogood got the better of the Adelaide defenders, kicking 2 goals and taking 6 marks in the Bulldogs win.

Chloe Molloy deserved her own highlight reel from her strong game that saw 18 touches and 2 goals.

With a game that earned her the Rising Star nomination, Mikayla Morrison kicked a bag of 3 goals and had 10 touches against the Blues.

Hayley Miller was dominant again with another 24 disposals, she just doesn’t want to leave the team of the week.

Tahlia Hickie had 18 hit outs and 6 tackles to help get the Lions over the line. Despite the loss.

Tilly Lucas-Rodd was strong in the midfield for the Saints.

Ebony Marinoff has now had 3 weeks in a row with over 25 disposals.

Brittany Bonnici was firing for the pies again with her 27 touches and a nice goal to top off her game.
