The Inner Sanctum has put together a team of the week comprised of the best performing players in Round 6 of the 2022 AFLW season.
Defenders are rewarded for their defensive play, midfielders receive accolades for their dominance, while forwards receive a shout-out for hitting the scoreboard and applying pressure.
This was the first round where we had all teams playing without any rescheduling or catch-up games. You can read last week’s team here.
Sarah Allan was the anchor of Adelaide’s defence yet again, she was instrumental in Adelaide’s comeback with her 5 marks.
Gabby O’Sullivan continued her reliable year with another strong performance of 10 disposals, 6 marks, and 6 tackles.
Eleanor Brown continued her trend of great performances, with 6 marks she was vital to the Bulldogs overcoming the Crows.
Emma Swanson did all she could to keep the Collingwood forwards at bay in the Eagles’ loss with 19 disposals and 3 marks.

For consistency, we can’t leave Ash Riddell out after another 30 disposal performance.

With a game that earned her the Rising Star nomination, Mikayla Morrison kicked a bag of 3 goals and had 10 touches against the Blues.
Hayley Miller was dominant again with another 24 disposals, she just doesn’t want to leave the team of the week.
Tahlia Hickie had 18 hit outs and 6 tackles to help get the Lions over the line. Despite the loss.
Tilly Lucas-Rodd was strong in the midfield for the Saints.
