A number of key Cats are looming as options for coaches ahead of this week for Round 6 AFLW Fantasy

Compared to the past few weeks round five of the AFLW competition didn’t throw too many last many changes to fantasy coaches.

That is unless you had the competition’s best player Kiara Bowers in your team. With her suspension being upheld almost 50% of the competition had to find a solution to her absence.

Player of the Round:

AFLW Team of the Week: Round 5

Back over the Hill: Mimi’s journey back to the big time

Is this young Bulldog the competition’s most improved defender?

Rookie of the Week:

Georgie Prespakis was hungry to get Geelong’s first win of the season and gave her best performance since her debut in round 1. A performance where she had 15 disposals and 7 tackles resulted in a fantasy score of 70. This was well above her round 4 score of 31 against the Lions.

Lowest Breakevens:

Keeley Sherar- Carlton -11

Leah Cutting St Kilda- 11

Jessica Low Fremantle – 8

Round 6 targets:

Coming off a big week with a score of 116, Rebecca Webster, a $55,000 defender from Geelong is a strong backline option. Averaging 83 for the past three rounds she is an underrated choice with only 17.3% ownership.

Sarah Lampard from Melbourne is putting up some consistent numbers in the backline. Priced at $42,500, her price has risen by $7500 so far this season. A low break-even of 27 to match her three round average of 68. She is a well-priced undervalue target.

Carlton’s Georgia Gee is a mid-priced midfield option at $45,200. She has a low breakeven score of 39 and is averaging 64 over the past three. 64 may not be a huge score but her average is solid enough to justify the choice with her price.

News this week from the AFLW Fantasy is that there will be another Hobart Nissan Bonus Round coming next week. It gives coaches a great opportunity to prepare their teams in preparation for the highest weekly prize in a free Fantasy sport competition.
